need help identifying this motor

i've searched for this nissan motor on the internet but can't find out if it's a short shaft or long shaft. and what's the year on it . see this in a pawn shop but they did't know much about it. is this a good motor i was going to buy a brand new one but a mercury 15 hp but the prices is so high. can anyone help me out it has a 15 hp johnson motor on it but that give out last year and i was wondering if the new motors are too heavy for this old boat
