Hey guys, I was hoping you can help me solve this puzzle. I've recently purchased an older Regal with VP DP-SM I believe it's a 1998 engine/outdrive model and I'm looking to replace the trim sender on it.

Here is what the badge on it has:

3868913
DP-SM 1.95
4112057836

Any help with part number and a good vendor with reasonable price on it?

Thanks again!

these things are expensive!!!

That's ok, they also fail often.

Good incentive to learn how to trim without the gauge and go by feel. Trust me, feel & sound along with the tach and speed tells you a lot more than a trim gauge.

Yes, the only reason I want to replace it is because I made the horrible mistake of letting my girlfriend drive the boat and I wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, so I felt the boat slow down and growling noise starting happening and when I took over I noticed that the trim was all the way up. Her explanation to it was "I thought you were suppose to push it up so that the boat can go faster". Figured if I install the gauge it will give me a piece of mind when I let others drive it.
