Need good 9.9h, buy from iboats?

I'm in So Cal looking for a good used 9.9 hp, relatively new, with some kind of warranty, for a small fishing boat.<br /><br />Anyone purchased an outboard motor from iboats? Did you get what you wanted and was the price fair for what you got?<br /><br />Any opinions on Mercury vs. Johnson vs. Evinrude? Motor will be used in fresh water only. <br /><br />This is my first outboard, so I'm new to this, and am looking for a relatively low hassle deal, and relatively new trouble free motor with at least some kind of warranty.<br /><br />Any information appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks

a good used motor is hard to come by, especailly a small one like your talking about. I shopped for a couple months trying to find one. (iboats, local dealership, everywhere in between). they're just hard to find. I finally got a deal on an older 9.9, but the only warranty i got was "hey man, if you gota problem, just call me and i'll take a look at it" . I am happy with my motor, I think it was a good deal, but if you want a warranty, buy new, not off lease, because those motors are seldom broken in properly. (depending on the dealer and user) hope this helps.
