Need 1971-1989 9.9 evinrude service manual, gears slipping on E10RCNS.

Hello again. After quite some time of inactivity I’d like to get my E10RCNS spruced up. As in one of my earlier posts I’m still having significant gear slip with the motor wanting to start in forward. To put the boat into neutral I have to shift to reverse then back again.

I have removed the lower unit and lined up the rods and reconnected(that screw is a huge pain to get back in). Looking for insight and possibly a manual so I can overhaul going forward.

so I found a service manual that seems to cover all motors but isn’t specific to the E10RCNS. Is this the service manual I’m looking for potentially.

I purchased my 9.9 new in 1984 and ordered the OEM manual for it at the same time. It has the same 394607 part number you are looking at here and does cover the 2 through 235 hp motors.
