My new boat.

This is my new to me 1977 viking 220 si, its 22ft with a OMC drive which i know isn't the greatest drive in the world. It has a ford 302 w/ a two barrel holley and a stringer drive. After taking it out a few times i rebuilt the carb then the temp started to drop. The trailer is a tandem axle roller with two outside bunks. The boat and the trailer need a little love bo nothing major as of yet. If anyone has questions or imput please feel free to send it my way. Like i said im new to boating but have loved every minute so far.

yeah it is a deck boat i will try getting some pis of the inside for you guys. not that its anything fancy just seats all the way around with a midship center counsle.

Father-in-law has a Kayot that looks identical to that. His is OB. Very stable and plenty of room on board for large family fun. I spent a lot of time in his boat which got me into buying my own this summer after a visit to Papa's. If you have 1/2 as much fun on that boat as my family has on the Kayot, you'll really love that thing.

I traded my old cj jeep for the boat my family and i had the boat out five times this last summer and that was more fun than we had with the old jeep. Thanks for the input and good luck with your new purchase.

If you are going to store it in the barn up there, you might want to read up on winterizing.

Being in Florida, I don?t have too much of that.

But from what I have read, it wouldn?t take much to ruin your next summer.

Besides, if it is under cover, you can work on it all winter.

I think that most folks on here will tell you to work on safety & reliability first, in that order. And then you can spend the time to make it ?pretty?.

Take care of her and she will take care of you.

Why does that philosophy work better with my boat than it did with my
x-wife ?

Get some help winterizing, if you haven't already. You don't want to greet next season with a cracked block or drive casing

yeah thats why we like it it a all around general purpose boat that the whole family can enjoy. Also I can take it out fishing when nobody wants to be dragged behind it.
