So my dad won this 12' Starcraft Lite with 1.5 Evinrude OB back in the early '60's.
He would keep it in excellent condition every year, even though it may have only been on the river 3-4 times. He gifted it to me back in the early '80's, and I used it for river and lake trips some years more than others but it saw regular use. Fast forward, I stored it upside down, chained to a tree for 22 years and now have the fishing fever. It has had the wood seats replaced with Redwood, all the finish has deteriorated, Being 72 and not the most stable on my feet, I'm installing a flat floor in this V bottom boat. I'm also cheap, so went to the recycle yard and purchased aluminum road signs to lay in the bottom after leveling up the curved floor. Paid $1.00 a pound for the signs, but they are thick enough to bridge across short open spaces. No before pic's, but when I get the signs washed up and ready to reinstall I'll post some progress pic's. The transom will need to be replaced also. Webekin
