Those look like what I use for my Mercruiser Alpha 1 outdrive. They work fine for me, but it totally depends on what kind of motor you have. That is the most common style that should fit most outboards made over the past 30 years or so. But I know for a fact that will not work on a Volvo outdrive...totally different water intake location.

I also agree with previous poster, they're a dime a dozen and available most anywhere that has basic marine & fishing equipment. If you're not 100% certain it'll fit your motor, you may want to buy local so you can return/exhange if necessary. Then again, $6 delivered to your door is a pretty good deal and it should get the job done just fine.Originally posted by manykids:
Thanks guys. I poked on Ebay and found these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SEAC...50439QQitemZ4586706796QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

What do you think?
I know it has been unusually warm around here lately, but the cold will be back. If you are doing some work on it now and using the muffs, don't let it freeze up. That can definatley screw things up before spring!Originally posted by manykids:
I will definately take it slow and easy. The last thing I want to do is screw things up before I ever get on the water. Plenty of time to screw up then!
