Howdy Fellas, I am getting ready to Transfer with the Navy to New Orleans. Looking for any local info for the area. What kind of boating can I expect and where are some good places to go?.<br /><br /> I am looking to do some Tubing and Fishing.. First, get some charts of the area. Second, talk with your fellow Navy folks in the area. Lastly, here's what I know: Tubing=Lake Ponchatrain, Sking=Pearl River Delta (glass), Fishing=Anywhere, but Barataria Bay and Approaches is highly recommended!

Thanks for the Info Teetime!<br /><br />Yea Bill, its a big move, but gotta go where the Navy sends me. At least there is plenty of water down that way. Sure gonna miss the cold winters up in the North and the Snow!<br /><br />Tallman
