My wellcraft has a self bailing motor well. The well ultimatley rises to the hight of the rest of the boat and slope down twoard the transom. there are two seats on either side of the motor well and there is a cut out beneath it so that the bildge is visible...I recently statrted looking for a new boat and have been looking a walk around fishing boats around 21 ft. I noticed that tehre is no "motor well" as described above. there seems to be a very low transon which has a wide cutout and some models have a flimsy pannel that you ca put up inside the boat to create a barrier for the water..I dont understand this. i felt like my wellcraft was more seaworthy. Arent these low transoms going to tak in water while drigting or anchored or if hit by a wave. Can these models be altered. Does anyone one know of a model boat that is a afishing boat with the above described"self bailing motor well" I perfer to use a OB motor....Im very confused , thanks for any input you may have
