Hey there I am new to this site and am looking for a little help. I recently took a 1994 750 sx on trade for some work and have had some problems.
The guy before me put a new starter, battery and it still would never start right. They came to the conclusion that the stator must be bad. I went ahead and found a good stator and have never got it started since. When you pull the plugs out it cranks over just fine and with the plugs in it barely cranks like the battery is dead and almost feels like something is dragging. I checked power across starter relay and get 12 volts except under load which drops it to around 4(spark plugs in). I pulled the pump out and completely deleted the possibility of impeller drag and still the same problem exists. Could it be the bendix? I am running out of patience and summer any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanx

Bad battery cables.
Use jumper cables to bypass the battery cables and see if cranks good.

Oh,, and Welcome to iboats.
