Any sailors out there had or currently have a mooring in NYC. The Parks Dept rules call for 3/8 chain and 150pd anchor for a 20' boat. Is that supposed to be 3/8" for the entire run. Usually you use two sizes, a length of heavy chain from the anchor to lighter chain to the buoy. The Parks Dept has been no help. I will be mooring in Great Kills. Anyone have experience with this?
