I am restoring an Endura 30. The bearing broke off (rusted) and now I need to remove the remaining inner piece from the armature shaft. There looks like a little cap on the end of the shaft. Please advise the best way to do this. Thanks
Don't know about the cap, but the quickest way to get a frozen inner ball bearing race off is to grab the arc welder and weld on it for a few seconds, and then quickly slipping the red hot expanded race off with a pair of pliers.
Don't bother going after it with a cold chisel. It's way too hard.
