Hi OutboardJim,

Noticed that you are from Rayland. How far is that from Salt Fork? I was thinking about having a seasonal dock on the river this year and thought about checking out the Rayland Marina. Are there any others around there? Thanks. SS Mayfloat

How ya' doin' mayfloat....always good to hear from a fellow buckeye. Salt Fork is bout an hour to hour and a half from Rayland. Maybe a little less. Rayland is 'bout 10 road miles north of Bridgeport. There are many marinas along the Ohio. Lots are in the phone book. Martins Ferry Yacht Club is more a private club than anything. Wheeling has a marina. Big Bucks type marina. Bellare has a marina. Don't know if it's private or not. Moundsville has a nice set up. I'm only 10 minutes from yard to water here. We get a season pass at Rayland Marina. What's nice about Rayland Marina is that it's not right in the river current. It sets in a cove with a channel to the river. Lauch and recovery is a breeze. Ramp is nice. Good people run the place too. There's a camping area also. Easy access to births to. Access to marina is right off Rt. 7. Stores to get your favorite libations and food are handy. Couple real good resturants are close to. Fairway River Links is just a spit from the Marina if ya' play golf. 18 hole course. Lots of people go there. Nice place to spend the day. Sorry I sound like a commercial. I just like the place compared to other Marinas on the river. Let me know if ya' need more info.

OBJim :D
