I have a 1978 model Mercury 115 hp outboard and a 1978 VIP ski boat for trade for a used laptop computer to help me keep track of my small plumbing business. The motor was rebuilt about ten years ago and it ran fine until about a week ago. I have had over a thousand dollars worth of work done on the motor, it has all new wiring,carbs,pumps,ect... I think it ate a reed or something, but it does still run , i"m just tired of spending money on it. Plus i do own another boat. The VIP boat is in good condition with new wood and carpet, good trailer too.
