mercury 75hp !!!!!

i have a mercury 75hp,1985model. i'm having lots of problems with it.. the thing is, it will run ok in the yard, but once it is put into the water,it doesn't want to start,and get going.. i have to idle it up to getit started, once it is started,i have to hurry and push it into gear to get going..i have put a new water pump on it.. new plugs, wires, new fuel pump,and it still isn't wanting to run.. it also feels like it is missing alittle bit... any help will be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Time to install kits in the carbs and clean. You will need to set the idle mixture in the water in gear with the engine warmed up.

Trent's right on the money.. It's carb rebuild time..My 60-merc was doing the same stuff..Be sure to check the timing too...
