Hi I recently got this motor from my father, it is a 1965 merc 60 6hp. It was not completely together when I recieved it. The Fuel pump, carb and flywheel were off. <br /><br />I have put everything back on with the exception of the fuel pump. I cant figure out for the life of me where it mounts. My manual shows it bolted over the Vacum hole on the side of the motor, which is exacly where it is on my 1963 9.8. The mounting base and the vacum hole is there but the holes are not tapped or threaded.<br /><br />I dont think the holes have been stripped, but if they have it was a near perfect job, even the pain is not disturbed there. They are just smooth bored holes all the way to the bottom.<br /><br />Any help is greatly apreciated. For the time being I have just connected it directly to the carb input and run a hose to the vacum hose. In this configuration it will start rev very high untill I kill it, which leads me to believe I am getting a air leak somewhere.
