I know this is a dumb question but please bear with me. I have been around engines all my life but the I/O is a little new to me... this just seems kind of basic but I've been out in the sun too long!

I've been dead in the water for 2 1/2 years. I was building a house during that time so I mothballed the boat real good when I last put her up. I expected some issues, but she was tuned up and runing good when I shut her down. Could things like my coil, plug wires, pts and cond fail to the point I don't even get a spark? That just seems strange to me, but it is a boat.

In 2 and 1/2 years, I think condensation killed your points, etc.

Thanks coors! That is right on target. I've been sawing to much wood and been to long without a wrench in my hand. I bought new points yesterday but was cheaping out, trying to save time and money and just get the thing to wake up. She was much happier with the new pts :) I've never seen pts get as ugly as the old ones were.
