7/16/23 My 2014 Mercrusier 350 Mag ECT fuel injection engine shits down after say an hour of perfectly good running. It sputters a couple of times, pops then fails to crank. The engine turns over but there appears to be no spark. Sometimes after a run and sitting idle for a while, it just fails to start. Once it sits for say an hour, it cranks and runs fine.
It has been hooked up to a computerwith no error code showing. My Mercrusier Mechanic states he must be present with the motor shuts down or will not start.
My next move is to install a new crank position sensor. Has anyone experienced this problem?
