I have a 85 Rinker with a Mercruiser 120 2.5l I/O
Boat place already replaced the pump only to find out a few weeks later that there is a crack in the pump spitting fluid all over only when the motor raises all the way up. They quoted me for another new one at a ridiculous amount and I know I can get it cheaper online. They refunded my money and said they would re-install a new pump for me for all the hassle. They left the cracked pump in and I am wondering if it can be fixed somehow or is it garbage?
If it is garbage, how do I find out the original part number for the pump I need.
What brands are good and which should I stay away from?
Thanks, Shawn
