I have a 1965 Merc 500 with a mercontrol remote controller. I'm so fed up with this thing binding up that I'm ready to throw it overboard! Has anyone ever used a new aftermarket controller that can replace the mercontrol? I looked at some of the uflex products and wondered if there is a replacement that will work. Any thoughts?
