Hi all,
I have a 1979 Mercury V6 150HP outboard. Today I prepped it for the season. I replaced the impellor and pump cover with all gaskets. I followed the directions in the Mercury service manual. So I know I put it back to gether correctly. I also pulled the thermostats and checked that they open in hot water. The tell tale tube is also clear of any obstructions.
My question is: Is it normal for water to come out of the exhaust ports of this engine? I have included a pic of it.
I ran it with muffs attached.
