merc. easy oil drain system

I have been told and have heard that my engine (2008 merc 4.3, 190 hp, tks) has the easy oil drain so I do not have to pump out the oil from the dipstick. There is a tether on my drain plug that is supposed to help pull the tube through the drain plug hole but it is not attached. Any idea where I might find this hose and where should I be looking. I just dont see anything lying on the bottom of the bilge. Thanks

For one thing, it's attached to the bottom of the oil pan, so you might start looking there, then follow whatever comes from it.
Draining through the drain plug sounds like a good idea, but it's a slow (at times overnight) process to get the oil out. Start with good hot oil.
