Is there any way to find the S.N. or year once the tag has been removed from a Mercury 25 horse outboard? A friend needs an impeller, but the tag is gone, and he's lost. Thanks.
the tag should be mounted right on the transom where the motor bolts on to the back of the boat it should be a silver looks like a digtag sort of. If that is missing thats not good. Coast guard sees that its missing not good man.
