the last time out catchin' weakies (trout) IT was one after another...i tried everythin' in the minnow lookin' lure family..( that's what ya do in those cases.. experiment !! ) an everythin' worked.. an the mepps/rooster tails was a killer.. but then,,, everthin' was a killer... heck , ripped tee shirt strips worked the best .. !! it was a 'good ole fashsion feedin' frenzy....

Mepps in S/W should work. In fact some guides in LA and TX use bass spinnerbaits so why not. You may be suprised how many F/W baits convert over to S/W. One suggestion is to replace the hooks and such with stainless and wash the baits with plenty of water when you get home if you ever expect to use them agian. Personally I like curly tail grubs with jigs I can hop them or swim them as I choose. However when fishing S/W I mostly use live baits except in fall.
