On monday I was out at the local lake doing a little kneeboarding. I was pulling up to the dock to let the wife out to go get the trailer, when I heard the lifeguard over the bullhorn say, "HEY, YOU, BRING YOUR BOAT OVER HERE." Luckily he was talking to the guy 50 foot from me in a large very powerfull boat. It was great, this guy thought he could get his boat on the trailer and out of there before the lifeguard could walk 100 yards. Turns out with a lifeguard truck blocking the entrance to the loading ramp and two police cars blocking the exit, he got to talk to the lifeguard from the back seat of a Ford Crown Vic. That was when I made a mental note: "Listen to Lifeguard." Turns out they have friends that are cops.
