Mechanical to Electric Fuel Conversion Diagrams

I have a 91 OMC with a 4.3L - carb. engine that just got rebuilt using a 95 block, which has no mount for a mechanical fuel pump. I ordered an electric fuel pump designed for carb marine use.
I need to know how to adapt the electrical wiring to the new pump. Anyone have any diagrams?
Also, is the ball-check valve near the gas tank still necessary? THANKS!

That check valve is an anti siphon valve, and is necessary no matter what pump you have.

Below is a meruiser wiring diagram. You need to use an oil pressure switch to supply power to the pump when the engine is running, the starter solenoid supplies power to the pump while cranking. DO NOT just wire the pump to come on when the ign. switch is in the run position and the engiine is not running.

Don,
Thanks. I will pick up a check valve and rewire my engine for the fuel pump.

Ayuh,... You'll need the oil pressure switch,+ enough 1/8" pipe fittin's to hook it up too...
