Last message was a screw up, only to notify I've been either working on 'em or looking at them and hating the hell out of the JohnRudes in the process as we (dad actually) owened a merc/Homelite/BostonWhaler/PacificMariner shop in Petersburg, Ak during the 60's-early 70's. So, as we ran many boats up the Inside Passage, I intend to do it again, a 5-6 week trip- video produced etc. However, I'm hoping to sponsor the trip through selling of one of my most "precious" items, the 20H that was built soley for racing... As kids we built a hydroplane and kicked butt at each 4th of July race.... Also, I am seeking grants to help sponsor the trip. I might add that in 1960 we went from Seattle to Petersburg,AK in a 21 footer with 2 Mark 78A's, counter rotating 'n everything! (was much better than the ERudes we used the 1st time! So, to make a long story short, hope I haven't taken up the room and, by *** the 20H MUST be worth.....

I guess I'm not understanding what you want... How much are you asking for the Merc?

Walt

Sure it's somewhat rare but not totally unique. There have been quite a few 20H's around lately for sale. Some are authetic and others are pieced together to become a hybrid made up 20H. If you are interested in selling it, your best option is probably Ebay. Most of the sites devoted to old motors and the people there, usually won't come close to paying what they might go for on Ebay.

If you propose to get financial support, I would strongly recommend that you abandon the know-it-all attitude and stop bad mouthing popular products.
