have a 1992 mariner 60 hp serial number D054043. the problem i am having concerns the trim switch. if i don't use it for a few days and store the motor in the up position out of the water, the down trim does not want to engage. it does not work on the motor trim switch or the trim switch located on throttle lever. if i push it up, you can hear and see the motor rise to full tilt, but when pushed to lower all it does is make a single click sound. this past weekend i worked it maybe 50 times, it finally worked, and worked fine the rest of the weekend. this is the second time this summer that has happened and both times were after i had not used it for a few weeks and it was stored with engine tilted all the way up and out of the water.
