I have a 21ft marathon boat that I bought as a project. However last spring I was burning some grass and it got away and ran to the boat. The grass under the boat started to burn , I was wright there and put the grass out, BUT the gel coat under the boat started to pop like popcorn and left little spots where the gel coat came off, it reminds me of cement when it starts to spall off the top. My question is can I just put gel oat over top or should I lay some glass over top of it. Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated
