When changing the lube in my 2000 J-115 Ocean Pro, I noticed that what drained and what went in was approxiamtely 16-OZ. I have a Clymer manual says it should be 26 to 32 depending on LU.
I didn't fill from bottom up but every time I tried to sqweeze in more from top, it would ooze out. Motors are level when filling.
I also want to pressure/vacuum test for leaks and don't know how much PSI to pump in or vacuum to test seals. Any thoughts on capacity and leak test????
Thanks to all for the responses in these forums.

Best to load from the bottom up. Your Owner's Manual should have the correct amount. Try turning the prop a bit if the motor is in neutral, see if you can break those air pockets.

Agree with EZeke,Fill from the bottom plug. WallyWorld has LU pumps in the sporting goods dept for about $5.00.

You fill from bottom, when it starts coming out the top, put the top screw in. Remove the pump from bottom and quickly put bottom screw in.
Your done.

Dave
