I have 100 hours on an 2001 Johnson 225. I was cruising along at 5500 RPM's and immediately had a loss of 500 RPM's. At 2200 RPM's I get a little stumble. I have changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, "idle switch", prop and fuel. I have also cleaned my carbs. I can get my RPM's back by reducing the prop pitch but I can't even pull out of the hole. So, I have gone back to the 15x18. My next step is to replace my fuel tank vent and clean out the line and make sure the throttle cable hasn't slipped.

It is pumping water and not running hot. It is burning blue smoke. So, the mixture looks good. I get no warning lights.

What else can I try and why do you think this happened?
