Looper 225 upgrade questions

I have an '87 225 looper..E225TXCUB that is frought with spark problems. I have a chance to pick up an '88 200 looper that ran great until it fried a piston last weekend. One of the local 'rude guys here says that I can take the complete powerhead dressings off the 200 and bolt everything up to my 225, including flywheel, stator, timer base etc.

Does anyone here know if this swap is really possible ?

yes i believe it does go to brp and cross over some of the part numbers on the electronics

22Islander, how did you make out? Was this successful? I am trying to do essentially the same. I'm having problems with timer bases working correctly. I had a non-Quickstart (pre 88) timer base installed with 18 degrees incorrect spark, and 3 other timer bases that just don't work. (They could all be bad)
