Looking to buy a boat???

Well, since i sold my last boat i have regretted it ever since so, now i'm on the hunt again. I've found a 1990 Wellcraft 196 Eclipse that looks like it's in pretty good shape. It's got the 175hp 4.3 according to the owner. I haven't got to go look at it yet due to work constraits but, I was gonna see if anyone has ever had or has one of these and what they can tell me about them i.e. how do they ride, top speed(not that important just curious), average fuel consumption etc. It will be used mostly for cruising, tubing and just floating.
