I came into this Alumacraft 1442. I have a 1976 Evinrude 6hp that ran my older boat great. This engine doesn't do so good with the newer and bigger boat.<br />She'll handle a 25hp. She weighs 200 lbs dry.<br />Anyone know of any good used 18-25 hp engines? <br />Think the jon boat will fly with a 25hp on it?<br />Any engine manufacturer or style in particular?
