Looking for a quick texas coast mini vaction

I have a situation where I would like to get to the Texas coast for a quicky relaxing vacation. Maybe some deep water fishing but definitely inexpensive and not overly crowded. I guess Im saying a bit of a relaxation trip. It would be around April 20-25th. Does anyone know of a good area to head to for low key vacation at a reasonable cost in Texas? Hopefully way north of South Padre.

Well its not that much farther north but we always go to Port Aransas. Havent taken a boat there though, only go to beach and fish off pier. My boat is too small.

There are a few Captains in Padre that charter. If you aren't bringing your own boat. It really depends on what is inexpensive? In South Texas coastline you can be in deep water pretty quick compared to North Texas .
