livewell pump quits working

I am having trouble with my livewell. The pump will work sometimes and then stop pumping water. I can start up the pump by turning it on and off a few times; then, it will stop again after a while. I don't use it too much. I think it is stopped up now. Thanks, irao

check for voltage at the pump when it stops working,if no voltage check the switch for its operating availabulities, if all working break down the pump and clean and reseal....

Irao<br />Many live well pumps have both a manual and auto setting. In the auto setting pump will turn on for one minute in every 5 minutes or can be adjustable. This is so can leave on and it will pump a little fresh water then shut off, this keeps fish alive and does not run down battery so fast. Are you sure have it set right.
