I KNOW THERE ARE MANY REASONS A BOAT Lists to port..my 23 ft mako cuddy(228) does not list at rest only when on plane...i know the cause is prop torque but i wondering if there is anyway to correct other than a set of trim tabs ( cannot afford tabs yet)...i keep very little equipment on board and when im alone the list is minimal...when i have a passenger on the port side the tilt is bad..i have ruled out wet foam 4 now since while at the mooring the boat floats level...i have also ruled out adjusting the trim tab over the prop because i have haydraullic steering...i just wondered if anyone has any ideas or ill just live with it 4 now....the only thing i can think of is moving my transducer whicgh is currently mounted on the starboard side..it is a lowarance skimmer transom mount...i think its so small that it prob is not contributing to the lift...i have also heard that if i mount a small hull tab of sorts on the port side it would help??? i know the list woul vary depending on pssengers and gear but its almost always just me and my day and we only have a cooler which is on the starboard side....any thoughts
thanks

Re: List to port????

you can try to adjust the fin on the lower unit or outdrive to adjust for the List to port/stabbord

what happens if you switch the cooler and your day around. swap, side for side. sounds to me like maybe ya can shift weight around to lessen the list. i know i have to shift weight depending on my load so i don't list. i just consider my boat weight sensitive and adj. accordingly the best i can.

i don't think adj. the fin on the lower is gonna help you. adj. that counters torque steer. which your not gonna have with hydolic steering. my best guess is you can eliminate the fin and just go with the flat zinc for that.
