I have a 1970 Starcraft Sprint V which is leaking out the centre keel of the boat. I had suspected that the boat had a leak at the transom. So I tilted the front end up and filled the back end with water and lo and behold no water came out. So then I brought the front end back down and the water started coming out of the drain in the center keel and then started coming out the font end reinforcement at the bow. My question is , Is the bottom of the boat made from one piece with the keel covering the center or is it made of 2 pieces?

I filled t with water

I have a 16' Jupiter V 1970 enclosed bow... Inside my boat I can clearly see that my halves are rivited at either side of the keal... My boat takes on a lil water too... Unless u have major problems do what most of us do and rely on ur bilidge pump to take care of that.

Thanks for the reply. I have been using the bilge pump for a few years now, The leak(s) doesn't seem to be getting any worse so I think I won't do anything else until I have to take out the floor.
