Lake Lanier Poker Run

While at the Atlanta Boat Show everyone had cards for the upcoming Poker Run on Lanier. I went to the website and while it looked like alot of fun I was not sure what to expect at an event like this. Has anyone here ever participated in the past?

"J", most people will be spectators watching the events. Are you planning to watch or actually participate in the run? Either way most of these type events are a blast to be around. Good luck !!!

@ J, I was at the lake last year during the event and was contemplating signing up this year. I have a smaller boat so my concerns are how rough the water is going to be with all the offshores taking precedence. I know the waters were rough coming from the dam to Sunset. It does seem like a lot of fun but may choose to sit back and watch again.

I have never been to an event however I have been to some offshore events in FLA, watching. I was looking at the information and photos from last year and it seems that there was 2 flights, one for the offshore boys and then everyone else! Well I would be happy with everyone else however I would give almost anything for a three digit run. Looking at all the events it really looks like it will be a great time, it just the $100 donation will only get you 1 pass for this and 1 pass for that. it will take $230 to get 3 passes. I know it goes to a good cause however that will be something to think about...
