L/U measurements

When differentiating the length of the L/U on a merc, where is the measurement made? Most I see are 20" or 25" yet nothing I see on this XR6 I have as 20-25 inches. From the center of the gear housing to the tip of the drive shaft is roughly 33 inches. What size is this?

You can usually tell by the length of the drive shaft so measure from the top of the lower unit to the bottome of the powerhead. Obviously there's a 5" difference between the two but they are not always exactly 20 or 25. I can tell you this, the water tube on a 25 is 24" long and on the 20 its 19" but that probably doesn't help you much.
