Hey guys,
The other day I was out in the boat and I had run it for about 7 hours, and on the way to the dock a buzzer went off. The water pressure gauge was fluctuating, but the tattle tale was squirting water and when I slowed it quit. What could this be??? It has a brand new lower unit, and has been running fine. Help please

The tell-tale and the water pressure gauge only tells you that the water pump is functioning. It does not tell you anything about the flow of water through the engine.

A constant horn tells you that the engine has overheated, and to turn it off immediately and fix the problem. On your motor the constant horn can also tell you that you have a fuel obstruction and to turn the engine off and fix the problem.

Since you have a new gearcase and probably a new water pump, I would check the thermostats.

Low oil- short pulse every 20 seconds or, no oil-continuous short pulses.

Explain eratic.

The horn came loose on my 200 and sarted grounding out creating an eratic buzz.

I don't think that's the case with your's though.

Real short buzzes with no consistancy. I dont think it could be the oil. Where is the horn located???
