Hey guys been working on a 1988 100hp inline 4 mariner and had the timing light hooked up on the number one cylinder and indexed the flywheel and found the cylinder was sparking when 2 3 and 4 were at top dead centre .The flywheel that is on there right now is 261 9007 C2 from what I see that is used on three cylinder models and the one on the actual merc website is a different part number . Do you think I found my problem ? Serial number for the motor is OA753835 .Or would this one work thx

The hub magnet to fire trigger is different on a 3 cly vs a 4 cyl. The 3 cly are 120? apart and the 4 cly are 90?....
