Yes and No
Yes it's the same design and fit as the Chevy but internally the impeller is brass.

Now if you have closed cooling and not open, meaning you have a heat exchanger on the motor using antifreeze, then the Chevy can be used, otherwise you need a marine type

and it matters if your timing cover is metal or plastic

The timing cover on my '88 4.3LX looked to be automotive grade, as was the oil pan. I say was, because it rusted thru.

The only thing marine about marine long blocks is the brass core plugs, stainless head gaskets, marine cam and circulation pump with brass impeller .

All other bits are assembly line bins from the same vintage truck motors

So are mine, spraying with Boeshield/CorrosionX have kept them from rusting thru so far after 20 seasons in the salt air.
