Hello all, I want to try to learn how to sail. I was able to pick up a 8ft sailing dinghy that I will also use as a tender as well. I have read a book or two, but I was hoping for some info or video on the net that may put some of this info together for me. Anything?
I have searched and come up with mostly junk or too complicated. The dinghy(sorry for the lack of terminology ) has one sail, approx the size of a sunfish.
There are some great boating fundamental, lessons on the net and I was hoping for something similar for sailing. Thanks Ike

if you want to learn how to sail
(which i highly suggest you do its a tonnn of fun) (i have a sunfish 21' sailboat and 33':D)
you should go to a sailing school. you can only get so much from books. you need hands on experience. my father being a city boy and never sailing, went out one time in a sunfish enjoyed it so much that him and my mom went to Annapolis sailing school and from then own we bought a sunfish, 21' san juan and 33 hunter
