We started out across the lake, I pushed the throttle and the engine rev'd, but instead of the usual blast of torque, my Checkmate 460 was dogging and could barely move out of it's ownway...Within 5 minutes and some persuasion it finally snapped out of it and planed beautifuly. why would this happen?
Sand? Heat? Pressure?
Pleasehelp

The RPMs were up where they should be, and it wouldn't go? If so, the hub has spun out.
Solution, rehub the prop.

hey hollis , I agree with oddd1, it sounds like you had weeds around your prop. If this happens again put your motor in reverse to shed the weeds, if it works then you know.
good boating
