Re: instrument cluster

If the trim gauge is not working I would check the sender units on the leg before the gauge. They do not last long in sea water and in any case they are very exposed. Sometimes you might get away with adjustment.

Re: instrument cluster

i can't see your entire instrument cluster going out at the same time( unless your boat has been hit by lightening or something like that)

It's more likely a fuse/breaker or grounding problem to the whole panel. Check your owners manual and see if you have a 20 amp fuse/breaker reset on your engine someplace, then check to see if you have a reset fuse up by your ignition, then check individual blade fuse.

I had to replace the 20 amp reset fuse to the entire panel to get mine working.

good luck

Re: instrument cluster

checked all grounds because i was loosing power as if a fuse had blown but they hadn't. haven't been out to test the thing to see if i have corrected anything or not. fixes for intermitent problems seem to be harder than just finding something broke and fixing it.

Re: instrument cluster

thanks raynmesa for the pdf. the last time out with the boat i didn't have any problems with the alarms or gauges. seems that all i needed was some maint. done. i think the problem was with the grounds. got my fingers crossed.
