Has anyone ever installed a remote shifter for a Nissan 9.8 4-stroke. I received an estimate from a small boat repair / storage place near the lake I run on. Their price was $677.00 to install a new shifter, cables and all the parts needed, and test the unit. Does that sound right or is this something that can be done for a fraction of that price. If anyone has done this, what kind of shifter / cables, etc did you use. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
The motor is a 2005 Nissan 9.8 model # NSF9.8A22 (no power trim or electric start needed as far as the shifter goes)
