I have a 1976 35 hp Johnson that had overheated which has caused me to do a rebuild. In doing so Im wondering while Im at it if it would be smart to check and see if its possible to install a temperature sensor. Back in 1976 they didnt have these on their motors and Im worried that if this ever happens again I wont know until its too late.
So is it possible to install a heat sensor to these older motors?
