I have a 28' 280 sf, I suggest that you check the stringers and motor mounts for rot , they don't have limber holes to allow the water to
drain out properly from between the stringers.
They are pretty basic boats, they were manufactured in Ohio , the company went out in 97', quality is fair,
most of the deck hardware is not mounted properly,
so you may notice spider web cracks from mounting bases from stantions.cleats were not backed up properly . The company was always in finacial trouble, so they took alot of short cuts.

So, I guess you don't want to hear about their low re-sale value either?
Next time ,look before you leap ,Well suck it up captain, your now a proud boat owner!!!.
I spent a year, and a few bucks fixxing her up,
and I'm pretty happy with it.
I would suggest you check these items out before you launch. Also, you should get a seloc
engine manual.

Actually I did alot of looking.. I had a mechanic look over this boat twice and I have a survey and the last 4 years repair bills on anything engine related. You could eat off the engine. The boat has a new powershore system, new CD, and the rest of the boat is very clean... structually it looks very good. I just dont know much about the builder.. I seen a 29 ft for almost $38000 cnd of course it was in as good condition..

You asked for comments on a Imperial boat,
I have owned one for the last 3 yrs. I shared
the information I have gained from other Imperial owners and my own personal experience.
all of my comments were hull related.
You can eat off my engines too.

Can you send me a pic.. kedwards9@sympatico.ca what do you like about Imperial boats.

Are the volvo engines a good engine for our boat..
The one I have has this radar arch. I like the look of that.. I am upgrading from a 21 ft fiberform..
What kind of speeds do you see with your 28 ft..
handle the waves well?? Hope you dont mind the questions. I really have no one else to ask..
