Just Chiming in cause its been a while. Long Story short,i had a 15ft procraft f/s with a 50 4st Merc last year but i sold it over the winter in the hopes of getting a little bit bigger boat.
Well after looking i found a sweet and spotless 16.2 ltd Wahoo. I bought it from the original owner who took very good care of it. Anyway its powerd by a sweet looking merc 75 2s 4cylind.
Nothing wrong with it my four stroke just spoiled me is all. Add Gas hit key,and thats it. No smoke no oil no cold nature ness...lol. Anyhow just killing time. Thanks for reading my whatever u wanna call it.

After a while it will become second nature to mix the oil. Kind of like driving a stick. Mixing oil is a very small price to pay to have a good boat.

If that Merc. 75 (2-Stroke) is a 4-cyl. it must be ancient.

No wonder you miss your 4-s.

Lol, for me, mixing the oil and stabil, etc.. is almost like a religeous ritual I look forwards to as it portens good things to come:)

My first 2 boats (14' jon and 17' fish and ski) had older 2-strokes. Then I had an I/O for about 10 seasons. I'm on my first 4-stroke outboard now and am loving it!

Lol.. Yeah its an oldey. 1986 but its in excellent shape. Everything looks brand new. I kinda like it though, the age gives it some class. I just got spoiled with the 4s.

Funny, I feel the same way (extremely spoiled) with my 2 stroke Optimax. Sat all winter long, hit the key and started on the second revolution. Dropped to a nice idle - no muss, no fuss.
